Bernhard Weßels

Bernhard Weßels is acting director of the research unit “Democracy and Democratization” at the WZB and professor of political science at Humboldt-University Berlin. He is the leader of WP4. He works on political attitudes, political behavior, interest intermediation and political representation in comparative perspective. He is principal investigator of the Manifesto Project, co-director of the German Longitudinal Election Study both funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), and co-director of the SOLIKRIS project at the WZB funded by the Ministry of Research.
