Work Package 8
WP8 focuses on comparing existing publicly available political text sources theoretically and modelling their compatibility through practical tools and data linkages. Through the course of the project we will also compare, explore, and recommend data linkages with data produced by the project itself. While we will provide tools for combining data, our focus is on the codebooks and variables used by existing sources of data and not the data produced by individual projects. This effort will be extremely useful both within OPTED and externally where the comparison and combination of data sources remains a significant challenge for political text analyses.
